Smile For You

I aim to make at least one person a day smile a genuine smile I achieve that aim most days.Even though sometimes it is hard to conjure one up for myself.

I'm starting the infection now : even if it's hard to do sometimes...

I am going to start with a guarantee of a smile back from the person opposite and that is with my reflection in the mirror.

Good poem, nice sentiment.
Strangely, this is the first item I read after rehearsing an audio blog (Vox Pop) piece by one of my characters, Happy Jack Doomsday, the most miserable bugger in the world. Happy Jack was complaing today about people bugging him by saying "cheer up Jack, you have the rest of your life to look forward to," when he knows that looking forward to anything only leads to disappointment.
Vox Pop goes on an American site so Jack is the antithesis to all those positive thinking self - help cults. He's difficult to do though because I'm a terrible giggler.

Let's infect this world with our infectious smile, so that everybody in the world will smile to one another. By that, let's hope that everybody will be friendly, helpful, and nobody hates anybody else.

this is very true, i felt really crap on tuesday after returning to work and i put on a smile the day after and everyone said how well i was looking!!!!!!!! i said hello to every stranger i passed and they soon had a smile on their once sullen faces!!
